Decadent Dark Chocolate Brownies
This brownies are super fudgy and sure to please the whole family.
4 flax eggs*
1 cup melted vegan butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup dairy free semi-sweet chocolate chips (or more, we won't judge)
OPTIONAL - 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
* 1 flax egg = 1 tablespoon flax seeds combined with 3 tablespoons water, setting aside at least 5 minutes to thicken
Let's get cooking!
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Whisk melted butter and sugars in a large mixing bowl. Combine flax eggs and vanilla until fully combined.
Add flour and cocoa powder in parts. Mix in salt and stir until fully combined. Add peanut butter into mixture if desired.
Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout batter.
Spray a 9x9 baking pan with cooking spray and pour in the batter. Bake for 40-45 minutes.
Allow 20-30 minutes to cool. Divide and serve.
