Spring into Allergy Relief: Essential Oils
Updated: May 16, 2020
As the spring rains began and flowers bloom, so do allergies. If anyone knows the struggle with allergies, it is my husband and my mom. My husband has had chest congestion, runny noise, watery eyes, and is very prone to upper respiratory infections. My mom has an autoimmune disease and when her allergies start to affect her; it can cause a flare up.
When I began my oily journey, I knew that I wanted to try to give my husband and mom some relief. So I tried a few things to help them and eventually stumbled upon something that works magic for my husband, my mom, and others.
The two oils blends that I have found that work the best are Revive Allergy Relief and Revive Breathe Air. These two blends have allowed my husband to stop taking Benadryl and Claritin D everyday and has allowed my mom to overcome constant sniffles.
I truly thrive for a medication-free lifestyle and this is why I wanted my husband to use these oils instead of medication all the time.
How I've been using the oils:
In a roller, add 10 drops of Revive Allergy Relief and 10 drops of Revive Breathe Air and a carrier oil. I've been using Jojoba oil, but truly any oil will work. Apply it to the back of your ears and chest.
For my husband, I've also been adding it to our soap dish before he takes a shower, therefore it mixes with the steam and he can breath it in. Plus, it smells amazing!
Another great way is for both of them to put some on his wrist and breathe them in, especially when he has been walking the dogs or he just needs an extra boost when his allergies get really bad.
*Please note to test the oils on your arm first before applying it to other area to make sure that it does not irritate your skin in any way.
Let me know if it works for you. We would love to hear your story with allergies and how this helped you!
Revive Allergy Relief has Eucalyptus, Rosemary, Lavandin, Peppermint, and Hyssop.
Revive Breathe Air has Laurel, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Tea Tree, Lemon, Cardamom, Ravintsara, and Ravensara.
